![]() My wife and daughter ordered the chicken parm and I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, all of us thinking that it would be tasty at an upscale Italian restaurant. The appetizer and salads were delicious, so we looked forward to the main course. We waited for our salads for far too long. Both servers walked past multiple times without looking at or even acknowledging us. We asked up front for lemon for our water and the server forgot about it until I asked a second time. My drink went empty for minutes more than once. I also thought having 2 servers would be better, but again I was mistaken. I thought our location would be more convenient for the servers, but. We were sat at the first table, within sight and earshot of the kitchen/hostess desk. We had heard great things, especially about the steak. Our daughter took us here for our 25th anniversary. I really hope they fix the food because it was terrible. Like I said, the restaurant is beautiful and very upscale looking. I hate to say it, but Fratellis really needs an overhaul. I’ve never had a disappointing dinner at Ryan’s. If I’m gonna spend $400 on a dinner, it’s going to be at Ryan’s. Worst $400 trip to a restaurant ever! Won’t be returning there. We stayed very nice and still even tipped 20%. It would’ve been nice if my husband would’ve at least been offered a dessert, but that wasn’t happening. During this dinner we spent most of our time waiting. My husband had them box up a rare steak so he could cook it later at home. The manager came over and took my husbands steak and offered to make another steak, but we were done dinner at this point. We didn’t say anything else about any of the other food. When the server finally came back more than 15 minutes later, my husband told her about the steak. The baked potatoes were big and good, so that’s what I filled up on for dinner. We had also ordered the brussels sprouts and asked for them to be charred, but that was ignored. Nobody came to check on us to see if everything was OK and my husband just sat there not eating the meat so I gave him my filet. Our lobsters were so over broiled that they were like rubber with thick thick crust on top. My husband’s T-bone came out very well done but my filet was very good. My husband ordered a T-bone medium and lobster and I ordered a filet medium also with lobster. They almost seem like they were left over from the day before and they were awful, chewy and dry. I saw that somebody posted a picture of them and ours didn’t look anything like that. The meatballs were hard boulders sitting in some type of cheesy greasy gravy and the stuffed shrimp were way over baked and they looked and tasted it. We ordered the stuffed shrimp and meatball appetizers. We were there almost 20 minutes before my daughter and I actually got a drink. Yes, we waited the same amount of time for the two splits of wine and the appetizer. So, the champagne splits and appetizers were delivered at the same time. I ordered because we had already been there about 15 minutes and we were hungry. I really didn’t wanna order the appetizer yet because I wanted to have a drink. We opted for two splits of some thing from California. Finally, the server came out and said they didn’t have any of the Moet and would we like the Dom? Seemed like a little bait and switch. The bartender delivered my husband’s old-fashioned but we had to wait and wait for the champagne. Only 2 champagnes on the menu were $80 Moët & $220 Dom. old-fashioned and my daughter and I wanted some champagne. We were served water and placed drink order. Beautiful restaurant and looks very upscale except it wasn’t. There were only a handful of people there when we arrived.
